We have discovered an issue with initialization performance for the OPC Data Access module that negatively impacts load times with many tags. As a result, we have decided to pull back WIN-911 R5 for OPC DA users until we have resolved the issues. We expect an update to be available between the end of Sept and mid-October.
Immediately after starting or restarting (including upon configuration changes), the OPC Data Access module can take significant time initializing, during which it becomes unresponsive to Workspace requests.
Do not upgrade to WIN-911 2021 R5 if you plan to use OPC DA Classic servers. If you have upgraded to WIN-911 2021 R5 and are experiencing performance issues, please contact the WIN-911 Product Support team for assistance.
