Debug logging is a tool that will show information in the Windows Event Viewer logs for each Win-911 Runtime service module. This can be useful for troubleshooting issues with a particular module or all at once. The Instructions will demonstrate how to enable debug mode for the Win-911 Email Runtime Module and you can apply these instructions to any Win-911 Runtime Module.
NOTE: At some point, you' will need to go back and turn debug mode off because it can take a lot of memory to store the files.
Steps to enable Debug Logging
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\WIN-911 Software\WIN-911.
Scroll down and find the module folder you wish to enable debug for.
Find the WIN911.Notifier.(modulename).Runtime.exe.
In this example, find WIN911.Notifier.Email.Runtime.exe (you may need to enable show file extensions) or look for the CONFIG file type.
Right-click the config and select Open with...
Find Notepad under other programs/More apps, select Notepad and click OK.
With the file open, look towards the top (approximately 25th row with word wrap disabled) to find "loggingFlags" and change the value from "Default" to "Debug".
With the changes saved, open local services and restart this particular module by right-clicking and selecting restart.
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting a Data Source module it is recommended that you restart Codemeter Runtime Server in order to restart all of the WIN911 Services.
Select Yes to restart all the WIN911 Services.
Event Viewer Logs
You will now see additional DEBUG event logs in Windows Event Viewer in the WIN-911 log located under Applications and Services.
