Customers will use the online WIN-911 License Portal to download and activate their license for WIN-911 Standard, Interactive, Advanced. Customers will first need to obtain their License Activation Key by registering their software. This document will help walk you through the licensing process.

Step 1: Register your WIN-911 software


Prerequisites: You must have your WIN-911 Serial # (How to locate my WIN-911 Serial #) and the registration contact details.

WIN-911 recommends completing the registration form as soon as possible so you can obtain your WIN-911 License Activation Key before going on-site to do the install.  It can take up to one business day to review the registration form before sending back the License Activation Key. WIN-911 Software hours of operation (US headquarters): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m to 5 p.m. CST (UTC -5:00).

Step 2: License your WIN-911 software


Prerequisites: Your WIN-911 software is installed (Installation Guide), you have your WIN-911 License Activation Key (see Step 1 above), and you have access to the Internet. 

There is an Online and Offline Licensing option. You can follow the online instructions if the WIN-911 computer has access to the Internet. If not, skip down to the Offline Licensing section.



Online Licensing: The WIN-911 system has access to the Internet.


Firefox, IE, and Safari are not supportedMicrosoft Edge and Google Chrome are recommended for Online Licensing.


1. On the WIN-911 computer, go to the WIN-911 License Portal at: http://lc.codemeter.com/69942/depot/index.php


Enter your License Activation Key, click 'Next'. 


2. You will see your WIN-911 license(s) listed here. The Status will show Available. click 'Activate Licenses'.


3. It should bring you to the Online Activation page (as seen below). If not, click the link for 'Online Activation' in the bottom right corner of the page.


Confirm all licenses are selected, then click 'Activate Selected Licenses Now.'


4. The progress window will show “License transfer completed successfully!” when finished. Click, OK.


"Status: Activated"


5. Open CodeMeter Control Center from the Windows Start Menu -> CodeMeter folder. Confirm the WIN-911 license Status shows “License activated.”


6. IMPORTANT – Select the “WIN-911 Demo” license container, then click the “Remove License” button. Click, OK to confirm. If the Remove License button is disabled, please see: Remove License button Disabled in CodeMeter.


7. Reboot your computer for WIN-911 to start using the newly installed license.




Offline Licensing: The WIN-911 system does not have access to the Internet.


1. On the WIN-911 computer, open CodeMeter Control Center from the Windows Start Menu -> CodeMeter folder.

Select the “WIN-911®License” or “WIN-911” container showing "Status: Empty license container", click 'Activate License'.


2. Click 'Next' on the CmFAS Assistant. Choose the option “Create license request,” click 'Next'.


3. Choose the path to save the license request file, click 'Commit'.


4. Transfer the license request file you created (32767-#####.WibuCmRaC) to a computer with Internet access.


5. On the computer with the license request file, go to the WIN-911 License Portal at: http://lc.codemeter.com/69942/depot/index.php


Enter your License Activation Key, click ‘Next’.


6. You will see your WIN-911 license(s) listed here. The Status will show Available. click 'Activate Licenses'.


7. It should bring you to the Offline Activation - Upload Request page (as seen below). If not, click the link for ‘Offline Activation’ in the bottom right corner of the page.


Confirm all licenses are selected, then Upload the license request file (32767-#####.WibuCmRaC) using the ‘Choose File’ button.


Click, 'Start Activation Now'.


8. On the Download Update page, click ‘Download License Update Now’. Click, ‘Next’.


9. Now, transfer the license file you downloaded (128-########.WibuCmRaU) back to the WIN-911 computer.


Double-click the file to import the file in CodeMeter.


Open CodeMeter Control Center to confirm the WIN-911 license Status shows “License activated.”
 


10. IMPORTANT – Select the “WIN-911 Demo” license container, then click the 'Remove License' button. Click, OK to confirm. If the Remove License button is disabled, please see: Remove License button Disabled in CodeMeter.


11. The final step to complete the license transfer is to upload your License Receipt to the WIN-911 License Portal. In CodeMeter Control Center, select the WIN-911 license, click 'License Update'.


12. Click 'Next' on the CmFAS Assistant. Choose the option "Create receipt,” click 'Next'.


13. Choose the path to save the license request file, click 'Commit'.


14. Now, transfer the license receipt you created (128-########.WibuCmRaC) back to a computer with Internet access. On the computer with the license receipt file, go back to the WIN-911 License Portal: http://lc.codemeter.com/69942/depot/index.php


If you closed the webpage, you will need your License Activation Key to log back in. Then click, Continue License Transfer.


Upload the license receipt file (128-########.WibuCmRaC) using the Choose File button.


Click, 'Upload Receipt Now'.


You will see "License Transfer Successfully Completed", then click, 'OK'. 


"Status: Activated"


15. Reboot your computer for WIN-911 to start using the newly installed license.
