Youe OPC DA Server has Items with double quotes (") or other syntax that WIN-911 does not support. WIN-911 allows you to Import these tags, but this will ultimately give you trouble with your alarms and not work properly


If you try to enter double quotes in a manually created Tagname, you will receive the following error. The same will happen if you access a Tag you imported and then click OK. Double quotes are not supported.

You will see the same behavior in other clients (this example is showing Kepware's Quick Client)


If you want to use double quotes and other characters that V7 will not accept, upgrade to the WIN-911 Standard, Interactive, or Advanced.
