PROBLEM OVERVIEW 


Follow these steps first to begin to troubleshoot this any GUI or workspaces error. An example of such error is shown 



 




PROCEDURE


Step 1) Run ServiceActivator as Administrator

  • You will find this in the installation media where you originally installed WIN-911. If you are unable to find the ServiceActivator, skip this step

  • If you do have the installation media, look in the Support folder

 



It should pull all the modules that you installed with an OK

 


The ServiceActivator is a utility tool that tries to connect to all WIN-911 modules and will give an OK to all WIN-911 modules that are installed on the system




Step 2) Next run the WIN-911 Module Mapper. The Module Mapper will be found by searching in the WIN-911 Enterprise Folder or through the Start menu and clicking on the WIN-911 folder


Click the check and choose save



If an issue occurs when running the module mapper open Services from in Windows and verify SQL Server (WIN911) is running. 



It is also recommended to set this as Automatic startup.





Step 3) Clear the browser cache in IE

  • Open Internet Explorer

  • Click on the Gear in the top right hand corner



  • Choose Internet options and click on Delete... under Browsing history




  • Verify the  "Temporary Internet files and website files" and "Cookies and website data" are checked and press Delete



Step 4) Next, clear the INetCache

  • Open Internet Explorer

  • Click on the Gear in the top right hand corner

  • Choose Internet options and click on Settings

  • Click View files

  • Highlight everything in this folder (CTRL-A) and press the Delete key
