Question: How do I verify my OPC connection to WIN-911?

Solution

If you are getting started with OPC or have issues with your OPC connection, attached is the OPC Quick Client to test with your OPC DA server. If you are unable to complete any of the steps in the attached READ ME file, there will be an error logged at the bottom of the Quick Client indicating what happened. If there is an error code, a Google search will usually tell you what that error means. 


Please note, if you are unable to connect with this Quick Client, then you will not be able to connect to WIN-911, as the two software are very similar in behavior. If there is an issue connecting with this Quick Client, contact your OPC DA manufacturer to help determine where the issue is. Once you get the Quick Client working, WIN-911 will be able to connect to your OPC DA server.
