When using WIN-911 SIA with iFIX 5.8 R2 SP2, the WIN-911 Source iFIX Runtime will crash when importing blocks or attempting to acknowledge an alarm.


iFIX 5.8 R2 SP2, and only this version, requires two SIMs from GE in order for WIN-911 to function properly. 

You can download the SIMs from links below.  Occasionally GE combines SIMs into other SIMs or a Service Pack. If the links are no longer working, please let us know. In the meantime, you can check GE's SIM and Service Pack tracking document to locate the SIM. 



Without the SIMs installed you will experience the following issues.

  • WIN911_Source_iFIX_Runtime_WPFHost.exe crashes when attempting acknowledge an alarm
  • WIN911_Source_iFIX_Runtime_WPFHost.exe crashes when attempting import of Blocks


Install the SIMs listed above on ALL iFIX nodes.
