1. Start/Restart Win-911 with Window Viewer

WIN-911 must start after InTouch Window Viewer or it will not be able to connect. In addition, if Window Viewer restarts, WIN-911 will not reconnect. Because of this, it is best to include a startup macro in Window Viewer that restarts WIN-911 as well. Doing this will allow Window Viewer and WIN-911 to always remain in sync. 

We can restart WIN-911 with an executable called Restart.exe. If you run it and WIN-911 is already running, WIN-911 will restart. If you run it and WIN-911 is not already running, it will start WIN-911.

Follow the steps detailed below:

  • Start Window Maker
  • From the menu bar go to Special > Scripts > Application Scripts
  • Change the Condition Type dropdown to On Startup
  • Enter the following…
    • StartApp C:\Program Files (x86)\Specter Instruments\WIN-911 V7\Tools\Restart.exe;
  • Click Ok

NOTE: If WIN-911 does not restart with Window Viewer after making this change, you may need to go to the Restart.exe, right-click it and select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, click Change settings for all users, and check the box for Run this program as an administrator
